The Lexington Story

After joining his first real estate brokerage in 2004, Aaron’s father’s only advice to him as he embarked on his real estate career was "Get your broker's license as soon as you can."  His father has been in both commercial and residential real estate for over 25 years. Being that his father’s unsolicited advice is rare, Aaron gave it heavy consideration.

After much thought and planning, along with studying for and passing the licensing exam, Aaron earned his broker’s license. He then decided to leave the corporate mega-brokerage side of real estate and make the move to start a more personalized real estate company which he named Lexington Properties; a place where he could truly educate his clients on both the home-buying and home-selling process, as well as investment properties and property management (for more information on independent brokers see What Is An Independent Real Estate Broker?).

Why the name Lexington Properties?  Aaron is a proud American, he is proud to live in this country.  The Battle of Lexington was the first battle of the Revolutionary War. Just as that battle led to great things, it was his hope that Lexington Properties would be the start of great things.

Aaron has worked at a big company, but wanted more. He wanted more control, and to be able to serve his clients to the best of his ability. Aaron could only see this being done if he was the one in charge, if he was the one making the decisions, if the buck stopped with him.

Life is full of risks.  Some prefer a life of no risk.  That's never suited Aaron.  He enjoys taking educated risks, and starting Lexington Properties is just one risk in a long list that he has taken in the past, and will take in the future.  Mark Twain said it best when he said,

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

And thus began Lexington Properties...
